Screen Fighting Workshop FAQ’s
What do I need on the day?
Wear loose fitting clothing, something you can move around freely in.. Some training joggers/shorts, a t-shirt and hoodie would be suitable. Please keep any zips, hard buttons, hanging / loose parts of clothing to a minimum and also no jewellery / watches to be worn on the day please.
If you have a full set of pads, bring them… but the minimum should be forearm pads, elbows, knees, back pad and hips and mainly soft pads will be used… If you have hard shin pads that would help too with certain techniques. It will be a fully matted area so, general falling over should be ok for the most part. You might not need any pads, but it’s always better to have them with you just in case.
It’s a physical course, so you will need water / drinks and snacks to keep you going throughout the day. At the venue there will be a place to purchase these items also.
Is this course for beginner or experienced fighters?
The course will cover different aspects that apply to all performers. There will be different levels attending on the day and each person / group will be supported. In the future we plan to hold workshops specifically aimed at beginners and advanced performers along with technical workshops on different areas.
